There was once a city in Rome where the people were forced to believe in a statue when they knew Allah was the true god. There were seven youths who believed in Allah and worshiped him. Then they went to a busy market and announced out loud about the true god. The people believed them but were to scared to say it out loud. The king heard them and summoned them to his kingdom. The youth told them abou their true god. The king was furious and told them they had three days to change their faith or else die. So the youths ran to a cave and slept. They were sleeping for 3 hundred years. When they woke up they asked each other how long they were sleeping. Probably a day said one of them. So one of them went to the store and noticed everything was different. When he entered the store the clerk told him that that money was three hundred years old. He told them about going to sleep and about the evil king and then Allah made the youth die and the king made it a national monument.

What I learned from this story is that before prophet isa (jesus. There was a mean ruler named decius the emperor ruled the roman empire which was from spain to the persian gulf.People were forced to listen to the statues or they might lose their lives. Some of the people were Christians who believed in Allah and Isa as their messengers. In Ephesus there lived about seven youths that all believed in Allah. They would all join in as one group and pray to Allah for everything.Allah then heard their prayers and gave each and everyone of them good strengths. The seven youths then went to the bazaar to go shopping. Unfortunately whenever the youths were worshipping allah the rest of the people in the bazaar that weren't muslim would try to torture the muslims. The youths were not afraid of them so they continued worshipping Allah.

400 years after Prophet Isa there was a pagan worshiper who was an emperor called
Decius, he ruled the Roman Empire. He forced everyone even Christians who followed Prophet Isa to worship pagans or else lose their lives. 7 people who lived in Ephesus who believed in the one true God , and they asked God for guidance and he gave them strength. So they went to the bazaar and stood on a platform they said, If our people worship other gods besides Allah, why don't they bring forward an authority clear and convincing for what they do? Who does more harm than the person who invents a lie about Allah?" [18:14-15]
Emperor Decius gave them three days to return to pagan worshipers or they would be kiled after he heard what they had done. So they seven youth ran away to a cave and a a dog followed them they tried to chase i waay but it wouldn't leave. In the cave they prayed Rabbana atina mil-ladunka Rahma, wa hayya lana min amrina rashada
    رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

"Lord, grant us mercy and help us to get out of this trouble in a righteous way" [18:10].
the youth took a nap but Allah did a miracle an they slept for three hundred years
One would think them (the youths) awake while, in fact, they were sleeping. We turned their bodies from right to left and their dog stretched its front legs on the ground. [18:18]

When they awoke they thought they were only asleep for a couple hours. One of them said, "How long do you think we have stayed here?" "A day or part of a day," they replied. "Your Lord knows better how long we have stayed here. Let us send one of us with this money to the city to get some pure food so that we might eat. He should be careful so that no one will know about us." [18:19]
So one of the youth went to buy food and when he went to a shopkeeper , th shopkepper told him that his money was out of date for 300 years. The 7 youths were saved from persecution and everyone could worship freely in the time that the woke up in. King Theodosius (who was now the ruler) , followed them to the cave.
Allah then caused the youths of the cave to pass away, just as Allah had caused the youth to sleep for 309 years [18:25], and king Theodosius ordered a monument to be built over the cave. Their story became famous throughout the Roman Empire as one of the true and beautiful miracles of Allah mentioned in the Glorious Qur'an.

400 years after prophet isa there were 7 youths who couldn't practise believing in one God a bad emperor forced evey one in their city to believe in pagans. So they hid ina cave and slept for 300 years when they woke up there was a new emperor and he let his people believe in God. This story is further explained in suratul kahf (the Cave).
